Objectives

1.) Who do you want to reach?
I want to reach  any potential employers or clients, as well as anyone who has a passing interest in my work and style.

2.) What do you want to express?
I want to express my ability to do a variety of work, an ability to be flexible, as well as an interest in experimentation and development. I also do want to show that while I can be flexible, I'm also interested in my own personal style, themes and characters.

3.) How do you want to organize your work?
I want to organize work firstly, based off of what type of work it is. I would organize it first based on whether it is an animation, illustration or sketch. After that I would go into more of a focus on organizing them based on style, such separating more digital painterly works from more graphic works.

About Me- Bio

-Bio- Sigrid Quade was born in Wichita on January 23rd 1989. Ever since she could pick up a crayon, she has drawn as much as she can. As she grew up, she went through many stages of what she wanted to be- a firefighter, a veterinarian, a dog breeder, and various other professions. All the while, she showed an ever-growing interest in drawing. Finally, around the age of 12, she settled on the goal of becoming an artist, and from that point, there was no turning back. In order to further pursue this career path, she went to the Kansas City Art Institute, where she became an animation major. Currently working towards her graduation, she works on her improving her technique and is particularly interested in character design and animation, narrative, and comics. Her various other interests include psychology, history, the paranormal and folklore, all aspects which can be seen reflected in her work.

-About the Artwork
- In my artwork, both illustrative and animation, I try to dabble and experiment in various different types of subject matters, styles and moods. In terms of animation, I mostly do cell animation although sometimes I will try and experiment with digital puppets in After Effects. While I do some experimental animation, I mostly enjoy working in character animation.  My preferred animation mediums are After Effects, Flash, and hand-drawn cell animation.
My illustrative work, like my animation, varies as well. Most of my illustrative work, nowadays, tends to lean towards digital artwork done in Photoshop. Occasionally I will work in traditional media such as inking, watercolors, Copic and Prismacolor markers, and pencil work. I vary my style as well. While I mostly do stylized, cartoonish work I will do more realistic-looking work.
Most of the mood in my work tends to be rather dark and bizarre. Sometimes I will work in a more light-hearted tone, though. Common themes in my work generally tend to be those running along the subjects of folkloric legends, the paranormal, psychology, and history.
I also do comics with reoccurring characters.
